Talisman Lore

A new age is dawning. The Talismans have fallen from the sky, heralding the quest for the Crown of Command. Contenders of all kinds set out to compete for this most powerful god-forged artefact, for whoever bears the Crown will rule the world in the era to come.

The Great Gods and the Birth of the World

These Great Gods have many names. To the inhabitants of the land at the heart of the world—where all questers for the Crown must go—they were known as the brothers Orosin and Rosino, and the Mother.

Orosin, wild and free in spirit.
Rosino, measured and serious.
The Mother, dreamer and mediator.

From their divergent natures, the world was born—then nearly destroyed. As their enmity deepened, Orosin became the arbiter of mayhem, Rosino the keeper of order. War between them tore the heavens until the Mother awoke from the earth itself, weaving peace through her dreams, giving rise to life, magic, and destiny.

The Crown of Command

Together, the Three forged all things—and from their final act came the Crown of Command. In gifting power to mortals, they placed destiny into mortal hands.

They also created the Talismans, celestial relics scattered into the night sky, destined to descend only at the brink of new epochs. When this happens, the cycle begins anew: the quest for the Crown resumes.

Having shaped the world, the Great Gods withdrew—or perhaps they slept—and peace reigned… for a time.

Eras of Light and Shadow

The Crown was a divine tool—never meant for mortal governance. Throughout countless ages, it has passed between beings of light and creatures of darkness. Each bearer shaped the fate of all:

• Eras of great benevolence and artistic flourishing
• Centuries of tyranny, war, and ruin
• Millennia of wonder and rebirth

The last to wield the Crown was Steranimus the Wizard, who restored the world after an age of darkness. But disgusted by mortal ingratitude, he withdrew into silence.

Now, his time is over.
