First up, in May the Warhammer Skulls Festival returned for its 10th anniversary, and the realm of Talisman was transformed by the arrival of a massive new threat!

  • The Dead King DLC came to Steam: The latest digital expansion has officially risen! You’ll face a brutal "Player vs. Game" experience where you must defeat the undead horde before the Dead King consumes enough lives to conquer the Crown of Command. Check out the full expansion now on Steam.

  • All-New Full Solo Mode: For the first time in the 5th Edition ruleset, you can completely remove AI rivals and bots to face the Dead King on your own in a true test of strategy and Talisman skill.

  • Massive Franchise Savings: To celebrate the festival, we’ve launched the Talisman Digital: The Grand Master Collection bundle on Steam. If you’ve been waiting to fill out your DLC collection or grab everything Talisman in one go, the bundle is still available and will be for the foreseeable future!

  • Console Updates Go Live: For console adventurers, The City Classic expansion was brought to Xbox and PlayStation in May, alongside the massive ‘Change of Fate’ Quality of Life update patch.

In the world of physical Talisman, Avalon Hill officially confirmed that they’re launching Talisman Sagas: Crown of Blood in May of this year!

Coming back to the digital world, Nomad Games also released The City Classic and The Change of Fate Update for Talisman: Digital 5th Edition!

The City Classic is the third remastered expansion from 4th Edition, and marks the start of bringing all four corner expansions from 4th Edition into the Digital 5th Edition experience. One of the most-loved expansions from 4th Edition, community reception to the remastered version has been very positive, which is great to hear!

You can find the expansion here on Steam. And remember, if you already own the 4th Edition version of The City, you can unlock this remastered expansion in-game within Talisman: Digital 5th Edition just by signing into your Nomad Account! Find out more about making the most of your free ownership entitlement in Nomad Games’ DLC Sync Guide.

For Talisman: Digital 5th Edition, Nomad Games has been balancing the old with the new as much as they can, which is why they released The Change of Fate update for the game for free at the end of February. To name a few of the changes this update added, you can now input your own dice rolls, save multiple game setups and the it gives you the option to see text on cards!

This has provided a very welcome boost to the core Digital 5th Edition experience, and Steam review scores for the game have only gone up since launching this massive quality-of-life update. If you want to read all the details (you’ll be there a while!) you can check the full patch notes in the original launch blog on the Nomad Games website

Alongside all of the excitement happening in Talisman: Digital 5th Edition, there was more digital Talisman news that happened last month, with the relaunch of Talisman: Origins and Talisman: The Horus Heresy onto Steam and mobile!

Returning as part of the Warhammer Classics collection launched by Games Workshop, these two games join the ranks of titles like Warhammer 40,000: Fire Warrior, Space Hulk and Warhammer 40,000: Chaos Gate.

Check out Talisman: The Horus Heresy (Classic) on Steam.

Check out Talisman: Origins (Classic) on Steam.

As expected with the launch of a new expansion like The Dead King, the Talisman community has been sharing your victories, thoughts and highlights.

First up, The Talisman Tavern celebrated their 50th live stream with a special The Dead King launch playthrough:

When it comes to digital Talisman on the horizon, there are two major things being worked on by the team at Nomad Games right now.

The Dungeon Classic

Now that The City Classic has launched, the Nomad Games team are moving onto their next remastered corner expansion - The Dungeon Classic. Their art and development teams have now started work on bringing this iconic expansion to 5th Edition!

They are currently translating the perilous traps, dark chambers, and infamous encounters of the classic 4th Edition Dungeon into the new 5th Edition style and ruleset. We hope you’re ready to face the Lord of Darkness once again, because he’s been scheming some new tricks for his Dungeon!

They will have the first sneak peeks at the updated card art and character models to share with you soon as they get closer to launching the expansions in Autumn of this year.

The Dead King for Consoles

For console adventurers, the Nomad Games team are working hard to bring that exact same brutal "Player vs. Game" challenge to your Xbox and PlayStation screens as soon as they can.

Bringing an expansion to consoles requires a bit of extra optimization behind the scenes to ensure smooth performance, but they confirmed the gears are turning.

And that’s the end of this month's update!
